Fairfax VA Real Estate Location:

Just a short drive from the nations capital you will find Fairfax County. Washington Dulles International Airport and Reagan Washington National Airport are the two primary commercial airports serving Fairfax County and Washington, D.C. A third airport, Baltimore-Washington International, is located 38 miles north of Washington, D.C. Several interstates and parkways crisscross Fairfax County, including interstates 95, 495 and 66, connecting the major business and visitor centers in the area.

Fairfax VA Real Estate Description:

Fairfax County was once a very rural area with scattered farms. In recent years it has become a thriving metropolis with the technology industry driving a large portion of the local economy. Real estate in Fairfax County is very diverse. Just outside D.C. you have a well thought out mix of single family homes, townhouses, and condo communities. You can also find a large amount of new construction neighborhoods. Real estate in Fairfax is in large demand around its public transportation centers. Fairfax County is served by five Metrorail stations located at West Falls Church, Merrifield/Dunn Loring, Vienna/Fairfax/GMU, Huntington and Franconia/Springfield. All Fairfax County Metrorail stations have park-and-ride lots.
