Arlington Homes Sales Continue to Improve - July, 2010 Market Update

The July MarketMinute report is now available for Arlington Homes. This inculdes Arlington Sales for all houses, townhouses, and condos.  Sales for Arlington homes and condos continue to outperform the national averages.  Record low interest rates seem to be helping the market's continued recovery.  If you are on the fence about buying I would suggest you to act now before you miss your window of opportunity.

 

Arlington VA Home Sales Figures

  • Units sold was down 33%. 
  • Active Arlington inventory was down 2%
  • The median sales price for Arlington Homes was up by 9% as compared to July 2009.  The median sales price for Arlington, VA was $534,500.
  • With a 39 day average, July's days on market was down 11%

Arlington Real Estate MarketMinute Report - June 2010 market_minute_graphic_120

The new MarketMinute report is now available for Arlington County.   The market trends continue to be much stronger than last year.  However, I will say that the market seems much slower post First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.  

 

Here are the highlights for Arlington Homes and Condos:

  • 301 units sold for an increase of 2%
  • Active Inventory is down by 5%
  • At $500,000 the median sales price of Arlington Homes is up 10%
  • Arlington homes are spending 10% less time on the market
  • The sold price to list price for Arlington VA homes was 97.9%. 
  • There is currently a 2.6 months supply of Arlington homes and condos.

  • Active inventory down 7%
  • Median sale price up 3%
